In 2008, Phantom Limb formed a friendship with author Daniel Handler which has led to a long and winding collaboration that took us all the way to the Berkeley Repertory Theater. "The Composer is Dead", NY Times best selling children's book with music by Nathaniel Stookey has been transformed into an unprecedented theatrical event. Over 30 marionettes and many more 2 dimensional puppets that are driven in tracks from above and below in a miniature theater magnified. Antique lithographs, provided by Kannik's Korner have been blown up to create a giant mechanized toy theater world where the orchestra's alibis are acted out.
